SUV/Pickup Application

SKILLS offers an SUV/Pick-up module for students to understand the difference in high center of gravity vehicles. The student will go through four different exercises practicing and observing the different limits that a HCG vehicle exhibits. It is very helpful for the student to provide their own vehicle, as there are so many types and sizes of SUV’s and Pickups. If a vehicle is not available, TDE will provide a HCG vehicle for an additional charge.

Stick Shift Module

Manual transmission, also known as a “stick shift”, can be a traumatic experience for a parent, stressful for new drivers, and unforgiving to the clutch of a car. At SKILLS, students learn the basics of gear-shifting, including downshifting, proper procedure for engaging the clutch and how to come to a smooth stop. The hands-on experience provided will improve the driver’s level of confidence with operating a manual transmission so that he can better react in ‘panic’ situations such as recovering from a ‘stall’.
